Does not come with a post. The post is 3" in diameter. You can use an LED light. The LED bulb must be rated for outdoor use and an enclosed fixture. Bailey Street Home has not tested this fixture for LED's so we cannot comment on performance. The LED bulb would need to be equivalent in watts to a 100 watt medium base incandescent bulb.
