Step 1: Determine your Dimensions

The first step in determining how many heaters you will need for your space is by first measuring your space and figuring out exactly what you are looking to heat. Because Patio Comfort heaters are gas powered, they require proper ventilation. Each Patio Comfort heater will cast a 10- 12 foot circle of sun like radiant heat. Heat output will vary based on “wind chill” factor, outside air temperatures, humidity, altitude, prevailing wind conditions, and location of heater. Once you have measured the space and knowing you will get a 10-12ft circle of warmth you can now determine how may units you will need for your space.

Fill out the calculator below to get a better idea of how many units you will need for your space.

Step 2: Choose your Installation Type

Patio Comfort offers three different installation types to choose from, depending on how often or what your space offers will allow you to determine which one is best for you.

Permanent Post

These are fixed patio heaters that are cemented or bolted to the ground and connected directly to a gas line. These units do not move and are usually strategically positioned throughout the patio. This is perfect for restaurant type settings where the units are installed and stay put year-round.

Portable Post

This is perfect for those who want the look and feel of a permanent post but prefer the ability to store the units away when not in use. This Natural Gas portable patio heater would be good for hospitality and residential type settings where they can install when needed and remove the units when not in season.

Portable Propane

These types of Patio heaters have wheels for easy mobility and have a storage cubby to keep the 20lb propane tank hidden from sight. Portable propane heaters are good for applications where seating and gathering areas change often and having the ability to move these units to different locations is key.
